HISTORY OF THE DIASPORA

ISRAEL & THE DIASPORA.
More than 1900 years ago, in 70 A.D--40 years after the crucifixion of Jesus--the Jewish nation was scattered around the world in the socalled "Diaspora" by Roman Legions, in fulfilment of ancient prophecies (See Bible Verses) as well as Jesus' prophecy;
"And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." Luke 21:24
THE JEWISH TEMPLE
DESTROYED
"And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Matthew 24:1-3
40 years later in 70 A.D., Jerusalem was sacked, hundreds of thousands of Jews were crucified on the surrounding Judean hills, and their temple was burned to the ground.
This was in direct fulfillment of another prediction Jesus gave, when His disciples asked Him about the Temple...and the End of the world.
40 years later, when the Romans burned the temple, the gold wall- and ceiling-ornaments melted between the stones and the soldiers tore them apart one by one to recover it. Of the original temple itself, not one stone was left standing upon another!--Not even the famous "wailing wall", which is merely a retaining wall of the landfill upon which the temple was originally built.

They've never had any genuine temple worship since then ever, anywhere! For 2000 years they have been without a priest, without a Temple, without a sacrifice, without any of those things that God had originally commanded them to have. He wiped it all out completely and made it impossible for them to have any more worship or sacrificial offerings or priesthood or anything, and scattered them throughout the whole Earth into every nation on the face of the Earth. That happened in 70 A.D. when God sent the armies of Emperor Vespasian under General Titus down to Israel and Jerusalem.

THE
RESTORATION OF
ISRAEL?
The Bible is full
of predictions that in these Last
Daysthe EndtimeGod
would "set
up His kingdom" or "build
up Zion" etc. There are many
predictions
that God's people or the "Children
of Israel" would "return,"
that God would call them "out
of every nation," and "gather
them together!" God
made also many promises
to His "chosen", to make them a blessing to the world and many other
such promises.
But now, herein is the tricky thing, whether one interprets "Israel"
physically
as the new political state
of the "Zionists"
in Palestineas most U.S. Christians are taught with all the dire
political consequenses for the entire world!OR spiritually
as a Spiritual
Israel for ALL
of
God's children, regardless
of race, color or creed, who returned to God and looked to Jesus for
His free gift of salvation in these latter days! Well, there
is no denying that the prophecies seem to have been fulfilled both
ways, in that...
14…Since
the beginning of the 20th century, in these "Last
Days", the so-called "flesh
Jews"
have taken over Palestine and in 1948 even proclaimed their own
new political state as "Israel!"
And in that...
24…God
has been gathering together His children, or "spiritual"
Jews, out of every
nation from
all over the world, into His spiritual Kingdom,
the long foretold "Kingdom
of God" which Jesus preached,
saying: "Repent!
For the kingdom of Heaven is at hand!"
Even though the prophecies have
been fulfilled both ways, that does not mean that both
are ordered by God nor that both will inherit the promises of God of
blessings, fruitfulness and peace etc., which are reserved for His spiritual
children only!--Especially to those that obey His
new Law of Love: "To love God & love your neighbour as yourself!"
Even the Jewish highpriest Kajafas
prophesied in 30 AD, just before Jesus' crucifixion, that Jesus
would not die for Jews alone, but for ALL God's children,
whether they be Jew or Gentile, saying:
"And not for
that nation only, but that also he should gather
together in one the children of God
that were
scattered abroad." (John
11:52)
Making an obvious difference between "that nation" and the
children of God!
In 30 A.D. Jesus told the elders of
Israel who condemned Him:
"Therefore say
I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you,
and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof."
Matthew
21:43
So the promises of God
about His kingdom are only given to those that really love Him
and bring forth the fruits of righteousness thereof--of loving others.
We love Him, first of all, by receiving Him personally in our
hearts and then by loving our neighbour as ourselves!
Thus fulfilling the great law of the Laws of Moses:
Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt
love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy might.
Matthew
22:37
Jesus said unto
him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38
This is the first
and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39
And the second
is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Now, just as
God doesn't beat anyone over the head with the right interpretation,
but tests us to see what we choose as just and
true, according to His Word, we will not further persuade you
either one way or the other. It is up to you, anyway! But, remember,
there is going to be a test! So pray and ask the Lord yourself
for wisdom! More on this

BIBLE PROPHECY Totally
fulfilled!
Deuteronomy 28:63-65 "And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, [even] wood and stone. And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind."
Hosea 9:17
"My God will cast
them away, because they did not hearken unto him:
and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
Ezekiel 36:24
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all
countries, and will bring you into your own land.
Ezekiel 36:35
And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden
of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities [are become] fenced,
[and] are inhabited.
Ezekiel 37:21-28
And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the
children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and
will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of
Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no
more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any
more at all: 23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their
idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions:
but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have
sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will
be their God. 24 And David
my servant
[shall be] king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they
shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my
servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein,
[even] they, and their children, and their children's children for ever:
and my servant David [shall be] their prince for ever. 26 Moreover I
will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting
covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will
set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27 My tabernacle
also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be
my people. 28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify
Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
Joel 3:1,2 "For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
Psalm 102:16 "When the LORD shall build up Zion he shall appear in his glory."
Hosea 3:4,5 "For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and [without] teraphim. Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days." |
