The Bible is full of predictions that in the Last Days—the Endtime—God would "set up His kingdom" or "Build up Zion" etc. There are many promises that God’s people or the "Children of Israel" would "return," that God would call them "out of every nation," and "gather them together" and make them a blessing to the world and many other such promises.
Now, whether one interprets "Israel" physically as the new political state of the "Zionists" in Palestine, or spiritually as ALL of God’s children regardless of race, creed or color, who returned to God and looked to Jesus for His free gift of salvation in the latter days, there is no denying that the prophecies have been fulfilled either way, in that…

• Since the beginning of the 20th century, in these "Last Days" the so-called "flesh Jews" conquered Palestine and in 1948 proclaimed their own political state as "Israel!"
• God has been gathering together His "spiritual Jews" or His children out of every nation from all over the world, into His long foretold spiritual Kingdom of God that Jesus preached, saying: "Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven is at hand!" Even the Jewish highpriest Kajafas prophesied in 30 AD just prior to Jesus' crucifixion, that Jesus would not die for Jews alone, but for ALL God’s children, whether they be Jew or Gentile, saying: "And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad." (John 11:52)

Destruction of the Temple and the Diaspora
More than 1900 years ago, in 70 A.D—40 years after the crucifixion of Jesus—the Jewish nation was scattered around the world in the Diaspora by the Roman Legions, in fulfilment of ancient prophecies (Deuteronomy 28:64; Hosea 9:17) as well as Jesus' promise to the Elders of Zion who condemned him:

40 years later, when the Romans burned the temple, the gold wall- and ceiling ornaments melted between the stones and the soldiers tore them apart one by one to recover it. Of the original temple itself, not one stone was left standing upon another!—Not even the famous "wailing wall", which is merely a retaining wall of the landfill upon which the temple was originally built.
They've never had any genuine temple worship since then ever, anywhere! For 2000 years they have been without a priest, without a Temple, without a sacrifice, without any of those things that God had originally commanded them to have. He wiped it all out completely & made it impossible for them to have any more worship or sacrificial offerings or priesthood or anything, & scattered them throughout the whole Earth into every nation on the face of the Earth. And when was that? 70 A.D. when God sent the armies of Emperor Vespasian under General Titus down to Israel & Jerusalem.

RETURN OF PHYSICAL ISRAEL
Since the beginning of the 20th century, millions of Jews began to go to Israel from all over the world. They really made headway in 1917 with the help of the British Balfour Declaration, given them in exchange for the invention of TNT!
There was a big controversy during those years when Britain was giving Israel to the Jews, she began to feel sorry for the Arabs although reluctantly, as she didn't want to do it.--Until finally the British soldiers were practically driven out of Israel by the Jews & the Arabs, both of them fighting over the country. There was a big question, & this, by the way, is a subject I used on the radio that day. There was a big controversy over "To whom does Israel belong?--The Jews or the Arabs?" You can't imagine that ever being a controversy today, can you?--But it was then. There was a lot of controversy over whether Britain should let the Arabs have it or let the Jews have it, because the Arabs had been a big help to the British in helping them fight World War 1 & then again World War 2. A lot of people thought the Arabs deserved Israel just as much as the Jews, & that's why the U.N. divided the country.
Well, guess what I said on the radio? I started off with the question, "Who does it belong to?", & then I rambled on, you know me, & I finally gave them the answer. Who do you think I said it belonged to, the Arabs or the Jews? Right! God! I said it doesn't belong to either one, it belongs to God & His Kingdom & we are going to run it! Praise God!--Along with any Christian Arabs that are there, & Christian Jews if there are any. But it's going to be strictly Christian & the whole World's going to be Christian then, praise God? It's all going to be God's Kingdom then during the Millennium!
In 1948 Israel became a political nation. "Rivers have sprung up in the desert" (Isaiah 43:19) since then, as the Israelis with European and American money irrigated the Negev desert, that is now highly cultivated! Apart from a leading armaments producer, Israel has also become a leading exporter of fruits and vegetables to the whole world. Whether or not there is now "joy, gladness, thanksgiving and the voice of melody" found in political Israel, Jews do sincerely claim and many Christians alike believe, that this is all in fulfillment of the following prophecy among many others:

During the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, the Israelis took the West bank and Jerusalem away from the Jordanians and virtually made it their capital! As orthodox Jews believe that their messiah is about to manifest himself, Christians also believe that Jesus' second coming is imminent, who predicted that the generation that would see the Signs Of The Times He gave, would see His return:

The big question is, "Is this return of the flesh Jews a fulfillment of prophecies in the Bible?" A fulfillment of prophecy? Yes! But a fulfillment of the promises to His Children? No!
There's a tremendous difference that most Christians don’t seem to discern! Prophecies are fulfilled about all kinds of people that God prophesies about--even the wicked--mere predictions of the future about what is going to happen, including what is happening there. But the promises of God are something else!--Promises of blessings and good and Salvation—these are made only to his real children--His spiritual children by Grace! 1426- 23.

SIMULTANEOUS RETURN OF SPIRITUAL ISRAEL
Just about the same time that the Jews captured Jerusalem, a spiritual revolution was getting underway in the US. and subsequently all over the World. The World-famed "Jesus Revolution" was born among the Hippies of California that by 1968-69 exploded across America and the rest of the world eversince! Could both events signify the end of "the times of the Gentiles?" (Luk 21:24) This historical spiritual Christian revival that made world headlines and front page news in Time Magazine for example, has had a tremendous ripple effect among millions of sincere Christians around the world, who instead of making churches the focus of their worship, began to rather concentrate on loving and winning the lost instead, by "going into all the world to preach the Gospel to every creature!" (Mark 16:15)
As a result since the sixties a worldwide wave of wonderful witnessing exploded out of California to wash over all countries of the world, leading millions of these nations' souls to Jesus, and gathering these formerly lost and scattered Children of God into His spiritual Kingdom, to welcome the soon return of Jesus!—The Second Coming!

WHY WERE THE "LAST SEVEN YEARS" SUSPENDED SO LONG?
How come God left the very last seven years of world history hanging & dangling until the very end? Why did He divide the 70th week from the 69? Why has there been nearly 2000 years since the 69th week to the 70th week? Why? Why did He leave that hanging and put off the 70th seven years to the very end?
Let me give you a hint! This big gap is between the time they killed their King & therefore God was through with them as a nation, until the time they are restored as a nation & guaranteed peace & are building the Temple, & Israel really becomes the Empire of Israel again under their Emperor, the one whom they consider their own messiah. Israel really comes into full strength in history as a strong nation with its own Emperor, literally the Emperor of Rome, showing where Israel's at.
But when they killed Jesus they cut off their own head & their own history, & Israel, in the sight of God, ceased to be ISRAEL. It ceased to be His people, it ceased to be His country, it ceased to be a nation in the eyes of God! But the false messiah comes along & literally recreates Israel into a Worldpower with security, guarantees, Covenant, promises, restoration of the Temple & resumption of sacrifices. Israel has never been fully restored. Even though they declared their independence in '48, they will not consider themselves fully restored until they have the Temple & sacrificial services are resumed. Then once again you have Israel's history continued, Israel again in full bloom, Israel restored by the Antichrist, the last week, the last seven years.
It is as though God suspended Israel's history when they killed his Son, & He's not going to allow it to be restored until the very end of the World, Man's World, & then restored by the Devil himself, by the king that they worship & the king that they wanted. Their real King was crucified at the end of God's history for Israel as far as He's concerned, but He allows them to restore themselves to full power under the false messiah, the false king, the Antichrist, in the last 7 years!
Israel will not be fully restored as a nation to full power & religion & the works, including the temple & the sacrifices, until the Antichrist comes into power. God left a gap of nearly 2000 years of World History in which Israel was obliterated as far as God was concerned. God only allows them to be restored at the very end! 2188-66-70

PROOF IT'S THE ENDTIME!--And Who Does Israel Belong To?
Out of a review of the 38th chapter of Ezekiel I was trying to show what a miracle it was that the Jews have now returned for the first time in any great numbers after nearly 2000 years! Until at last count I think after World War 1 and the Balfour Declaration, before World War 2, there were about 300,000. Now since World War 2 there are about three million Jews in Israel and about a million Arabs. They chased out about two million Arabs who are living largely in what amounts to concentration camps and refugee camps supported by guess who? If the Jews stole their country, chased them out, don't you think the World would make the Jews foot the bill?--No! Who do you suppose foots the bill?--The U.N.!--Which means the World is having to take care of these poor refugees and people that have been driven out of their own homes and their own country by the Jews!
The Israelis are making the rest of the World foot the bill to the tune of millions of dollars every year to take care of these refugee camps, build them shacks and huts, tents it was at first, and even feed'm and all the rest. Some of those poor Arab children have never known anything but that kind of a concentration camp, they were born in it! Think of it! They've been there now nearly 50 years, no wonder they're angry! No wonder they're mad! The young people have never even seen the Promised Land, never seen their homeland, never seen the lovely homes they used to have back in Israel. But they want to go back and they're willing to fight and shoot and kill to get back! That's what the Jews did to them to get them out. …
The Christian Arabs were about the only ones willing to stay there and make peace, and they've been treated like dogs! It was mostly the Muslim Arabs who fled and make up the PLO, etc., and whom the Jews now call the terrorists. … The Jews stole Palestine through terrorism and war, now they're complaining about the Arabs trying to get it back through terrorism and war. All of a sudden the Jews are all self-righteous, holier-than-thou, good, law-abiding, peace-abiding people, the rightful, legal heirs of Israel!--Because they stole it at the point of a gun and murdered the Arab inhabitants by the thousands, wiped out some whole villages, men, women and children, just like the Lebanese did at those Sabra camps. 2150-79-81.

There are three signs that this invasion of Israel has to happen at the Endtime and could not have happened before. It could have only happened literally within the past hundred years. Now they're their own country & dwelling in towns without walls & have their own government, their own army & their own soldiers to protect them, & for the first time dwell in comparative safety compared to the way they used to live, terrorised all the time by their enemies. Now they're strong, proud, fearless & stubborn--they even sometimes try to act like they could get along without the United States--& this has only happened within the last 40 years, since 1948. They only started going back after World War 1, after 1918, so in about 20-some years they established the land & they've only been there as their own government, as a nation Israel, for less than 50 years. It was 50 years in 1998. Maybe they're going to celebrate soon by making the Antichrist king, King of Israel. They refused Jesus, but they'll make the Devil their king.
That was all to prove to you this has to be in the Endtime, it has to be at the end, it cannot be any other time! This whole passage & all this about Gog & Magog & when we read Chapter 39 too, you've got to know that that has never happened before, it couldn't happen before, it had to happen since Israel became a nation. And it hasn't happened yet. You can't remember this happening during your lifetime, can you? It hasn't happened during my lifetime, that there was such a horrible invasion of Israel by huge armies from Russia & all these other countries, so that God finally stepped in & wiped them out. It didn't happen in World War 1 or World War 2. And in the next Chapter we're going to prove to you that this is Armageddon. See if you can find in the next Chapter things that prove it can only be the Battle of Armageddon!
the land of Israel is in the hands of the Devil right now, & the Devil's people!--Except for the Arab Christians that are there. God's got to have a little representation. That's almost like a final witness to those Jews who are coming back there, all those Arab-Christian churches all over the place. Jerusalem's just loaded with Christian churches! The land of Israel is just Christian churches from one end to the other, run by all kinds of denominations, everything from Catholics to Pentecostals & Baptists & Russian Orthodox & all the rest.
Jews have got the witness right in their midst all the time, a witness against them, so they're without excuse! Every place they go, if they know anything about the New Testament at all, they've got to be reminded of Jesus, that He was here, He was there! So they have been trying to obliterate all the signs & change the names of the towns so that they won't even sound like the Christian places in the New Testament any more, trying to wipe out the memory of Christ, trying to wipe out the memory of the places where He was when He was there. So do you think God's getting fed up again? There's coming one last final judgement upon the living, physical Jews of today, & that's going to be those invasions of the Antichrist & this final horrible Battle of Armageddon, terrible! Praise God!

A FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY? YES! BUT A FULFILLMENT OF THE PROMISES TO HIS CHILDREN? NO!
A fulfillment of prophecy? Yes! But a fulfillment of the promises to His Children? No! There's a tremendous difference that I never had discerned before! But the promises of God are something else!--Promises of blessing and good and Salvation--these are made only to His real Children--the spiritual Children by Grace! Not of works, lest any man should boast, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord!
And the guy who really messed up the works was Scofield, a Jewish Christian who favoured the Jews above all & promoted that great big thing about the restoration of Israel, natural flesh-&-blood wicked Israel! You can see where it's got'm, modern Israel is Hell on Earth compared to the Kingdom of God! And he was the ardent leading World advocate in his day with his Bible interpretation of the pre-Trib Rapture! He was not a post-Millennialist, he taught the future Millennium, he therefore was called a pre-Millennialist, that Jesus was going to come back before the Millennium, the pre-Millennial coming of Christ, which today most of the Evangelical Fundamentalist Saved Born-again Christians virtually all believe, it's so evident in the Bible!
1946 was a very memorable year because the U.N. first met in San Francisco, then met again in London, which began a very historical event & period in World history. Only a couple of years later in '48, Gandhi was assassinated--not Mrs. Gandhi, but the Gandhi, Mahatma. The State of Israel was also proclaimed. The Jews having fought a guerrilla war with the Arabs & the occupying English, finally drove the English out & managed to defeat the Arabs & proclaimed the nation of Israel, on May 14, 1948.--Which all the Christians who believed in the doctrines of the restoration of Israel, proclaimed by the Scofield Bible, jubilantly celebrated as a fulfilment of Bible prophecy.--And I preached it on radio in Santa Barbara, California!
A new beautiful temple of Israel, the dream of every Israeli of faith, the dream of the leaders of Israel, a dream of the religious & religionists of Israel is a restoration & rebuilding of the Temple under their coming messiah whom they will rejoice in & proclaim as their messiah, the Antichrist, and will rebuild their Temple.
