CAN
ANYONE REALLY SEE THE FUTURE?
————————————————————————————————————————————————
1 Samuel 9:9 Beforetime in Israel,
when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the
seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.
Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these
shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his
spirit it hath gathered them.
Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I
declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
Jeremiah 28:8 The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied
both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil,
and of pestilence.
Ezekiel 38:17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken
in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those
days many years that I would bring thee against them?
Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh
known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream,
and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
Hosea 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their
God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter
days. "
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto
his servants the prophets.
Luke 1:70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since
the world began:
Luke 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all
that the prophets have spoken:
Jn.14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come
to pass, ye might believe!--
Mt.24:35 Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away!"
2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well
that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day
dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of
any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will
of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
Revelation 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and
the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the
things which must shortly be done.
IS THERE ANY HOPE FOR A BETTER FUTURE?
As the twentieth century draws to a close, most of
us can't help but wonder what the future holds for us and our planet. Are we
on the threshold of a New World Order with peace and plenty for all, as numerous
politicians and media pundits proclaim? Or are we tottering on the brink of
unprecedented disaster, as various scientists and global think-tanks have warned?
This CD provides answers that will prepare you for what's ahead.
An astounding fact about the following description of today's world is that
much of it was written thousands of years ago! We will be looking at
specific predictions and prophecies that are two to three thousand years old,
but which accurately describe conditions and events that have taken place--or
are soon to take place--during our lifetime.
Some of the specific prophecies we will examine foretold our modern rapid transportation
systems, today's unprecedented increase in world travel, as well as the explosion
in knowledge of all kinds. Other technological advances, such as electronic
banking and a soon-to-be implemented global credit system, were predicted with
uncanny accuracy.
The effects of global warming, as well as the outbreak of modern killer diseases
such as AIDS and cancer, were foretold as well.
Being aware of the predictions covered in this CD will enable you to deal
with the cataclysmic changes the world will soon be facing. "To be forewarned
is to be forearmed," and the knowledge of the future contained in these few
pages will not only prepare you for the future, but empower you to come through
it on top.
But the only way we can face the difficult times ahead, is by keeping our eyes
riveted on the goal at all times.—In order for this planet to get better, its
gonna have to get worse first. But then after the deepest darkness of the night
that is now already enveloping this world, we will also see the brightest dawn
of ALL HISTORY!
The glorious, thrilling, enchanting, hope-fulfilling salvation of Jesus Christ
Who is about to return from His Heavenly Realm back into our 4 dimensional world,
to rescue us from evil men and liberate us to establish and bring back Heaven
on this evil-stricken world. We are about to regain Paradise on Earth of a gorgeous
new and Heavenly Golden Age of Man being reconciled with his God of Love!
CAN ANYONE REALLY SEE THE FUTURE?
In these last few years the world has gone from
one Earth-shaking crisis to another. While some say that we are on the threshold
of a Brave New World Order, others warn that humanity now totters on the brink
of unprecedented disaster and chaos! Reading the news nowadays is not the most
cheerful way to start the day! Day by day the world's problems grow more desperate
and insurmountable. The question which plagues every thinking person is...What
lies ahead?
But has any mortal man ever been able to transcend the bounds of time and peer
into the future? Throughout history there have been many who have claimed such
powers, and some like Nostradamus,
the Fatima Children,
Edgar Cayce
and Jeane Dixon are
widely accepted as having predicted various future events. The world stage is
now being set for the fulfillment of one awesome vision that many of these seers
had in common: events so cataclysmic that they will change the World as we now
know it for ever...the final Apocalypse and Armageddon, followed
by the blissful return of Jesus to save His children from a vindictive world,
as well as the beginning of His magnificent rule on Earth in a brandnew 'Golden
Age' called the Millennium completed by Heaven's landing on Earth!
SO MANY PEOPLE FEAR
THE FUTURE.
Most of today's youth seem to almost instinctively
realise that they are living on borrowed time.--After all, we are the first
generation that has had to live with the knowledge that we could completely
destroy ourselves! So people want to know what to do about it, or if there is
any way to avoid it or prepare for it, survive it.
Psychologists tell us that uncertainty and
the fear of the unknown is the worst fear of all!--Not knowing what's going
to happen. It's sad that so few people realise that they can know the future,
that they can know what's going to happen!--Accurately and in detail!--Even
the exact number of years, months and days of parts of it--exactly what's going
to happen! Think of that!
How could this be?--By what means can mortal
man possibly transcend the bounds of time and peer into the future?--By tuning
into God and His wonderful Word, the Bible! For He alone is the great "I AM",
Who dwells in the Eternal Now where there is no past nor future and "time
shall be no more", as Einstein proved.
(Re.10:6) In the spirit it's like the past, present and future are all one!
It all looks the same to God, and He can easily reveal to His prophets and seers
the mysteries of the future:
"For surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets!" (Amos 3:7)
"For thus saith the high and lofty one that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is holy: Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them! For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the Word that I shall speak shall come to pass; for I say the Word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God!" (Is.57:15; 42:9; Ez.12:25)
"Seek ye out of the Book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for My mouth it hath commanded them!" (Is.34:16)--
And the mate of every prophecy is its fulfilment!
God's Word finds its mate in fulfilled Bible Prophecy, and the ones which have
already occurred and been fulfilled, foretold hundreds of years in advance,
have been fulfilled down to the most intricate detail!--Every prophecy the Bible
has ever uttered has been fulfilled except the ones that are yet to come, and
they'll be fulfilled just as surely as the ones that have been fulfilled in
the past!
But in this lesson we are not dealing with
the prophecies of the past which have already been fulfilled.--It's a marvellous,
thrilling study to deal with fulfilled prophecies, and it encourages your faith
to know that those regarding the future will also be fulfilled just as accurately
and just as perfectly and just as surely as every prophecy of the past.--But
we are particularly interested in the events that are soon to transpire. We're
particularly interested in those which are yet to be fulfilled and especially
those that are soon to be fulfilled.
You'll find that God's Word is specific! God's
Word is very clear! Its prophecies are very plain and tell you exactly who and
where and even when! So if you've been wondering, "Where am I?--Where are we?
What's going on here, anyhow? Where did we come from? Where are we going? What's
happening?"--This is what we're going to share with you, as the wonderful Book,
the Bible, tells you all about it, exactly what's going to happen! You don't
have to worry about it, you don't have to fear, you don't have to guess at it!--It's
all here just as plain as can be!
"For that that is determined
shall be done!" (Da.11:36) What God's determined
and prophesied, He's going to do! Whatever God has said He's going to do, He
is going to do! Not one shall lack her mate, not one prophecy shall be without
fulfilment, every single one shall be fulfilled!
"We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost!" (2Pe.1:19-21)
"And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe!--Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away!" (Jn.14:29; Mt.24:35)
IF GOD DIDN’T INTERVENE MAN WOULD COMMIT
SUICIDE!
We must begin our look into the future
with the fact that God has warned us time and again almost since the beginning
of man and certainly throughout the Bible, that there's coming an end to things
as far as man's rule on this Earth is concerned, and that his governments are
going to eventually end so that God can set up His Heavenly Kingdom of peace
on Earth!
God has given man 6,000 years to try to solve
his own problems and run the world and bring peace and happiness, and he has
brought nothing but war and misery! God has given man his chance and he has
done nothing but make a mess of the World!--And now, finally, man is ready to
destroy it! And if God did not step in and intervene in this last hour of History,
man would completely destroy it and totally annihilate himself!
If God didn't step in, mankind would commit
suicide!--We'd either blow ourselves up with the bomb or we'd gradually kill
ourselves with famine or over-population or air-pollution or water-pollution
or something!--Let's face it, man is destroying himself! He's killing himself
with his filthiness and with his pollution and with his wickedness and with
his destructive nature, and if God didn't step in within the next few years
and stop it, man would wipe himself off the map! This is why Jesus prophesied
of the Last Days, "Except
those days be shortened (or cut off), there should no flesh be saved!"
(Mt.24:22)
And although I'm not a military authority,
nor am I necessarily a political authority, I do know God's Word and it's an
authority on everything!--And we know from what God's Word says that another
great World War is coming. And if you don't believe me or the Bible or the Prophecies
that God has given, just take a good look around you and read the newspaper
and watch the news on television or listen to it on the radio.--You don't have
to be a prophet to see that the World is tottering on the brink of a full-scale
Nuclear Holocaust!--A threat which will soon compel the nations to unite in
temporary peace under an Antichrist One-World government!
For the Bible predicts that in the last days
of man-made regimes on earth, a totally godless, anti-Christ world government
will arise, led by a devil-possessed dictator, Satan incarnate, who will bring
a temporary false peace on Earth and a counterfeit utopia, and its price will
be enforced worship of himself as the imitation Messiah! All of his subjects
will be branded with a credit number in order to buy or sell or obtain food
or employment, and all others who refuse to cooperate will be hunted, persecuted
and slaughtered by his commandment!--A time of Great Tribulation!
This anti-Christ government of anti-Christ
forces under the leadership of the Antichrist himself, this superhuman World
dictator of man's last one-World godless government, will then set up its headquarters
in Jerusalem, his capital, and unite all the religions of the World into a one-World
worship of this Demon-Demagogue and his Magical Image which can speak!
These startling events will immediately precede
the second coming of Jesus Christ, which is the major Endtime event, the Grand
Climax, as the Lord Himself returns and wipes out the fiendish bestial Antichrist
and his followers and sets up the last and most lasting and only perfect government
the World has ever known, and "the meek shall inherit the Earth"!
WE DON’T HAVE TO BE IGNORANT OF
THE FUTURE
Now most Christians seem to have rightly
gathered from reading their Bibles and hearing various preachers, that in the
Last Days times are going to wax worse and worse, and not get better. And a
lot of them believe that the End is going to be a time of very bad trouble and
tribulation. And of course, all real Bible-believing Christians believe that
Jesus is coming again--the Second Advent as it's technically called. They have
also gathered the fundamental idea that there's going to be a Heavenly time
on Earth at some time or other.--But a lot of them have got it pretty well screwed
up and mixed up and they don't know how, where or when these events will take
place!
They've got the knowledge of these events and
these priceless truths like a handful of pearls in their hand, but they don't
really realise exactly how they ought to be strung, in what order and in what
sequence, to make them a beautiful string of pearls in proper order to, you
might say, wear around their neck of knowledge. They don't realise the chronological
sequence, the time order, which is necessary to really understand what's going
to happen, how it's going to happen, when it's going to happen, how often it's
going to happen, etc.
And any Christian who is ignorant of the future
and exactly what's going to happen--perhaps not every little detail but all
the basic events and the basic characters--any Christian who is ignorant of
those things is a pretty ignorant Christian and is a sad, poor witness to others
who are hungry to know the future, people who are confused and misled and misguided
by others and misinterpretations of their own churches or denominations or in
complete ignorance of these things entirely!
True, the Bible admonishes us not to fret for
tomorrow, which means we're not to worry about tomorrow, but the Lord sure has
had a lot to say about tomorrow, so He certainly must want us to be informed
about tomorrow!--That's the whole point of prophecy: To let you know what's
going to happen so you won't worry about it. You'll know what's going to happen!
To be forewarned is to be forearmed! To understand
what's going to occur is to be prepared to face it and take it as it comes and
hopefully survive it!--At least certainly to understand what you're going through
and to know what's happening! You may not understand it all in advance, you
may not know everything that's going to happen.--I don't either, not everything,
not every detail.
But we can know enough from God's Word and
from what He's shown us that we can know the major events and their characteristics,
the major characters in these events, and in some cases exactly when they're
going to happen, the exact time periods predicted in the Bible, so that when
the time comes you'll know exactly when certain events are going to take place,
because God has already said so in His Word, plain as day!
It's wonderful to be able to read a newspaper
that tells you what's going to happen!--Not just what's already happened, anybody
can tell you what's already happened.--But the Bible tells you what's going
to happen! Whereas the newspapers are not really newspapers, they're history
papers. They tell you what's already happened.--Just past news. But God has
given us a lot of later news about today, the time in which we're living right
now, and what's going to happen next! So the Bible is not just a history book,
it's a news book! It not only tells you about yesterday, it also tells you about
tomorrow!
CAN WE KNOW THE SPECIFIC
"TIMES & SEASONS!"
All the way through the prophecies of Jeremiah,
Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, John, Jesus, etc., there are countless specific detailed
descriptions of the last days on earth before Christ's second coming. Has the
Lord given us these signs for a reason? Does He want us to know about the soon
coming of His Kingdom? Does He want us to be prepared for it? Does He want us
to have that knowledge and be able to teach others so?--Well, if He doesn't,
He's sure wasting an awful lot of time throughout both the Old and New Testament
telling us all the signs of His Coming!
In fact, in one of the most descriptive Endtime
prophecy books of the Bible, the Lord told Daniel to close up the book and seal
up the prophecy until the End:
"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the Words, and seal the book, even to the time of the End: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. For the Words are closed up and sealed till the time of the End. And none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand!" (Dan.12:4,9,10)
It's been almost 2,500 years that the Book of Daniel
has been virtually a sealed book, and it's only very recently that men have
begun to open the book, break the seals and understand the prophecies and what
Daniel was saying! Although they had the Bible for so many thousands of years,
they still didn't understand Endtime Bible Prophecy. But now we're supposed
to open the book, break the seals and read it and understand it!--Because we
live in the Time of the End!
But even during the Endtime, he says the wicked
won't understand!--The Truth-rejecting unbelievers don't understand the Bible
at all! They don't understand the simplest things, much less the complicated
prophecies which God said He wouldn't let anybody understand till the
End.--But now we do understand them because God's Word said we would understand
in the Last Days, "when
many shall run to and fro and knowledge is increased"!--Today!
God's Word says, "Blessed
is he that readeth and they that hear the words of this prophecy"! (Rev.1:3)
It takes an effort, it's work to try to understand Bible prophecy and to "study
to shew thyself approved unto God, rightly dividing the Word of Truth."
(2Ti.2:15) But you'll find that "the entrance of Thy Word giveth light" and
wisdom and understanding! (Ps.119:130) When we delve into God's Word, we "bring
forth treasures, both new and old"! (Mt.13:52)
You'll discover how wonderfully the Lord can weave His Word together like a
beautiful tapestry, filling in the whole picture to give you His vision of His
plans! "For where there
is no vision, the people perish!" (Pr.29:18)
Of course, some dear old Bible professors and
students and know-it-alls are going to say, "Ah, but Jesus told His disciples
that 'no man knoweth the
day or the hour when the Son of Man cometh, not even the angels in Heaven'.
And 'it's not for you to
know the times or the seasons'." (Mt.24:36;
Ac.1:7) Well no! It wasn't for those to whom He was speaking then to know, because
they didn't have to know! They've already been dead now for nearly 2,000
years!--They weren't going to go through the Great Tribulation and Jesus wasn't
about to come back, He hadn't even gone yet! But now that His Word is
being fulfilled in our generation, it is His Will for us to know it, to perceive
it, and to understand it!
He didn't say we wouldn't know the day or the
hour, he said they wouldn't know the day or the hour! That's why you
have to compare Scripture with Scripture.--You've gotta think about who He's
talking to. That Scripture has absolutely nothing to do with you and me today
in this Endtime, these Last Days! When all the dramatic, climactic, final events
of World History begin to unfold, let me tell you, you're going to need
to know, you are going to want to know and you are going to know,
because God promised it in His Word!
If the Lord did not intend for us to know the
times and the seasons, then why did He give us Matthew
24, Mark 13, Luke 21, John 14, Acts 1, 1Thessalonians 4 and 5, 2Thessalonians
2, 1Timothy 4, 2Timothy 3, 2Peter 1 and 3,
and the whole Book of Revelation,
as well as multitudes of prophecies in the Old Testament, including many in
the Historical Books, as well as the Poetical Books, and 17 Books of the Prophets
which were almost nothing but prophecies and specific predictions of
the future! If God didn't want His Children to know anything specific about
the future, then He wasted half the Bible talking about it, and we ought to
throw that half away!
But He does want us to know, and throughout
the entire Bible He continues to give us multitudes, thousands of literal, specific
predictions of the future and what its times and seasons will be like! In fact,
the Lord makes it extremely explicit many times in many places regarding the
exact number of years and months, and even days, during the soon-coming
crucial last Seven Years of the Endtime!
In Matthew chapter 24 and Luke chapter 21,
Jesus himself gives one of the most descriptive and specific of all resumes
of future endtime events of any prophet in the Bible, (which we will study in
detail later in the next chapters of this CD). After giving a long list of predictions
and coming signs of the times, He tells us, "When
you see these things, or these signs come to pass, look up, your redemption
draweth nigh"!--"The generation that sees these things come to pass is
not going to pass away until the End comes, and all things are fulfilled!"
(Lk.21:28; Mt.24:34)--So obviously, He wants us to "see" and "look" at the Signs
of His Coming being fulfilled before He returns so that we can "discern
the Signs of the Times"! (Mt.16:3)
"For as the days of Noah
were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be! For as in the days
that were before the Flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving
in marriage"--going on, business as usual--"until
the day that Noah entered into the ark, and they knew not until the flood came
and swept them all away!--So shall also the coming of the Son of Man be"!
(Mt.24:37-39) Who knew not?--The wicked! Who knew?--Noah! He knew
what was going to happen, he was expecting it! He wasn't one of those who knew
not!--He knew!
And God wants you to know!--You are here, now,
and the End is near! And as we look into Bible Prophecy, you will see that it's
obvious things are getting closer and closer to the End!--Every sign points
to it and there is every indication that you're going to be living through these
very days of the Endtime! Now is the Endtime of which all the prophets
spake! You are the generation--the Last Generation--of whom all the prophets
spoke, and they dreamed of your day!
"Now is the hour
come of which all prophets have spoken! Thou art upon the threshold of the door
of these things of which I have already told thee."
PTL! TYJ! "There is nothing
that I will do but what I have already told My prophets."
PTL!
"For unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to others it is not given, because they seeing, see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear! For verily I say unto you, many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them!" (Mt.13:11-17)
"For ye, brethren," the
Apostle paul tells us, "are
not in darkness, that that day (of
Christ's second coming) should
overtake you as a thief!" In other words,
it shouldn't take you by surprise! "Ye
are all the children of light, the children of the day: we are not of the night,
nor of darkness." We're not in the dark,
Beloved! We're not in the dark on this question. We know Jesus is coming, and
from His Word we know how He's going to come! The Bible tells us plainly!--It
couldn't be any plainer! (1Th.5:1-5)
"Therefore let us not sleep,
as do others; but let us watch and be sober!"
What does he say? He says, "You're not children of the night. You're not supposed
to be sleepy and asleep when it happens. You're the children of the day, children
of light! You're supposed to be wide awake and have the light on these things!"
(1Th.5:6)
You're supposed to know what's happening and
when they're going to happen! God's children are not supposed to be in
the dark about all these Bible prophecies! You're not supposed to be in the
dark about the things that are going to happen! If you know His Word, you won't
be surprised when you hear about the soon-coming pact or covenant over the Middle
East & Israel, the invasion and conquest of Israel by Russia, the Rise of
a new powerful World leader and One-World government, the new sub-skin chip
implant credit-only computerised economic system and the dramatic ending of
man's governments on Earth with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ! (See our
coverage of these Bible predictions and their fulfilments later in this Site!)
TO BE FORETOLD IS TO BE FOREWARNED!
Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
And we who know His Word and His prophecies and promises
for the future will never be surprised with a "mighty
widening of the eyes" like those "who
have not discerned the signs of the times!"
For we will be prepared! PTL!
We don't have to be in doubt and confusion
and in darkness, wondering what's going on like the rest of the World, "men's
hearts failing them for fear, for looking after those things which are coming
on the Earth." (Lk.21:26) We can know exactly
what's going to happen, exactly the way things are going to go.--We may not
like it and it may look pretty bad, but, praise God, we know the happy ending
and all is well that ends well!
Thank God we have the preparation that prepares
us for anything that's going to happen, and that's Salvation, knowing
Jesus and knowing that we're saved.--Then no matter what happens, even
sudden death is sudden glory! No matter what anyone does to you,
even if they kill you,
"after they've killed the body, they have no more that they can do" (Lk.12:4,5),
because God will take you into His Spirit World with Him until we return to
rule and reign here on this Earth with Jesus!
Are you prepared?--Have you personally
received Jesus into your heart?--I hope you've accepted Him, I hope you've received
Him so that you can look forward to these marvellous future events that we're
going to cover now, not with fear and trembling, but with hope
and faith and assurance that God's going to see you through, He's
going to save you and rescue you out of it all and take you to be with Him,
to live with Him forever!--Have you received Jesus?
You don't have to know the future and
all the marvellous details of endtime prophecy.--They'll happen whether you
know'm or not, don't worry! But it's a very good thing to know and to
understand these things so that you'll be able to know what's going on and what's
happening, as well as be able to teach and warn others. But the main thing you
need to know is summed up in one little verse, John 3:16:
"For God so loved the World, that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life!"
So receive salvation now, then you'll really be ready
for the revelation of the future!--Otherwise knowing the future wouldn't make
much difference to you, because your future will be bad, all bad news!
You probably won't even want to hear about what's going to happen if
you're not saved! But if you are saved, then God has got some marvellous, wonderful,
encouraging, thrilling revelations of the future in store for you!
Knowing Him and His Word, that's what's
going to carry you through!--The vision of what's coming will give you the faith
to believe God and the courage to launch out and march victoriously through
the plagues of this World, through Great Tribulation, and right on through to
the Coming of Jesus Christ and on into our loving reign with Him forever! PTL!

PROPHETS AND SEERS
Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer. 1 Samuel 9:9
THE MAJOR PROPHETS!
How many major Prophets were there? Four!
Who were they? Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel & Daniel. But Daniel's just a little
tiny short book, only 12 chapters, the others are big long books, so how come
he was considered a major Prophet? Do they judge by the size of the books?--No!
In that case they judge by the importance of the Prophet & what he predicted,
& there are more specific prophecies about the future and amazing time prophecies
in Daniel about today & tomorrow, the real distant future--it's close now
but it was distant then--than there are even in the other Major Prophets!
What kind of a Prophet was Isaiah? Isaiah was the Messianic Prophet because
he prophesied mostly about Jesus, both about His first coming & about His
second coming! And there are more prophecies about the Millennium in Isaiah
than anywhere else in the Bible.--Beautiful, beautiful prophecies!
Jeremiah was concerned mostly about the Jews.--Their history, their fall &
their future & even about the restoration & about the Jews going back
to Israel & all that sort of thing, which they did & which is true.
Only they're not God's people any longer, contrary to what the Evangelicals
teach.
Ezekiel also prophesied mostly about the Jews, the fall of the Jews, but he
had many more prophecies regarding the distant future, particularly about the
Antichrist & Armageddon & those like that, even clear up to the Holy
City. And Daniel was a Prophet of the Endtime!--The
Endtime, the Future! They all prophesied about the Endtime, but he especially
prophesied about the distant Future.--Very little about the current history
of Israel at his time or even shortly after, mostly about the prophecies of
the distant Future. Because he was told to do what? "Shut
up the book &... seal it till the Time of the End." (Dan.12:4.)--The
Endtime, because it wouldn't be revealed what it meant until the very end. And
the Lord said He would show us what it meant, & He has!

INTERPRETATION OF PROPHECIES
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:20-21
The Bible says that "No
prophecy of God is of private interpretation".--2Pet.
1:20.--In other words, it must be generally accepted. And the basic principles
that I have taught you have been generally accepted by the church for centuries,
even by the Catholic church, and you can prove them because Scripture after
Scripture after Scripture confirms it!
I didn't get all of our prophetic
interpretations from myself or in personal revelation from the Lord--although
I've gotten a lot of the details filled in--but the bulk of what I've taught
you are things on which most Bible students and scholars of Bible Prophecy agree!
It's not just our private doctrine, but things on which most of them are agreed.
So just because I may make a little change or clarification in the order of
events, don't start doubting God's Word and the prophecies and the overall foundation
truths He has given us!
When you're talking about prophetic interpretation of the past, you can prove
that many of the prophecies are true because they already happened, those Empires
have come and gone. It's not hard to teach and follow that kind of Bible Prophecy,
fulfilled Bible Prophecy, it's already happened and you know it's true. But
where you're getting on touchy ground is when you start getting into the future,
the time periods that haven't happened yet. And this is where most people's
particular little shibboleths and doctrines and interpretations tend to differ!
But just because some of it is unclear or controversial is no excuse to do like
some people do and say, "Well, nobody agrees on Bible prophecy so let's just
toss all Bible Prophecy away and never talk about it!" God's Word says, "Blessed
is he that heareth and understandeth the words of this prophecy."--Rev.1:3.
It takes an effort, it's work to try to understand Bible prophecy and to study
it and to figure these things out! It sometimes takes years and years of study
and working at it, comparing Scripture with Scripture, going back and forth
through the Word of God to arrive at the most plausible interpretations.--But
God says you're blessed if you do!
Of course, the main thing you need
to know is just two verses, John 3:16 and Acts 1:8! The first one gets you saved
and the other one gets you busy! You don't have to know all the prophetic details
of the future, they'll happen whether you know'm or not, don't worry! But it's
a good thing to know, and it's a good thing to understand His predictions so
you'll be able to warn and instruct others, and you'll be able to know what's
going on, what's happening. Paul himself says, "I
would not have you ignorant, brethren!"--1Thes.4:13-18.--Neither
do I want you to be caught flat-footed and dumb bunnies that don't know what's
going on!
GUIDELINES TO INTERPRETING
There are a few major rules of interpretation
of God's Word. The first choice is always interpret it literally if possible.
It should not even have to be interpreted if it can possibly just mean exactly
what it says, then you can just let it go at that! Try not to read into it some
unusual, undercover significance of some kind. I always try to take literally
what I obviously don't think could possibly be symbolic! I mean, if it makes
sense literally, take it literally!
But if it doesn't sound reasonable or logical
or it just looks like it's virtually impossible to interpret it that way, study
its context thoroughly for an explanation in case it's symbolic. Look at the
rest of the chapter to see if it's explained. This happens in Daniel time and
time again. Take Daniel's Image and his beasts for example: They are all interpreted
by the Angel or the man and you're told what each of these things stand for
and represent and symbolise, so it's obviously symbolic. You're told, "This
is that and that is this" etc. You're given the interpretation of this Image
and what these beasts symbolise.
So thoroughly study the context of the chapter
and read the explanation. When you get some new equipment to operate, for example,
you read the instructions, you don't just try to put it together yourself, right?
So when you read the mysteries of God's Word, let God put it together for you,
ask Him to show you how to put it all together!
If you can't find the explanation right there,
then you need to study the rest of that Book of the Bible, or even the whole
Word of God all the way through in order to find out where the same terms are
used and how they're used and the way they're used and what it means in these
other places.
GOD LOVES A MYSTERY!
We cannot be completely dogmatic and always
exact to the nth degree in the application or interpretation or even the categorisation
of many of the prophetic Scriptures. Often the Prophets saw distant events like
ranges of mountains one after the other in which only the mountaintops and peaks
were outstanding, whereas the valleys were somewhat obscure. Also, if you've
ever noticed as you view mountains at a distance, you cannot always distinguish
between the ranges, and sometimes two or three ranges can look like one range
from a distance.
The Prophets looked into the future and saw
the coming events like a row of mountaintops. You can see them all at once,
like you look at a whole scene at once, but actually, as you travel along you
don't get to them all at once. As you drive closer and closer, all you can see
is the one range right in front of you, it looks like only one mountain range.--But
when you journey up that mountain and get to the top, some of those mountains
that you thought were the same range turn out to be another 20 or 30 miles away!
So in the Scriptures these events are kind of mixed up sometimes, just the way
the Prophets saw them!
So don't feel bad if you feel a little confused,
mixed up and misunderstand something! Poor Daniel, he didn't understand any
of what the Lord was revealing to him! He said the cogitations of his head bothered
him and he was even sick in spirit within!--Dan.7:28. He was really puzzled
by the whole thing. So you've got good company, the Prophet Daniel himself was
also puzzled by his own prophecies!
There are many mysteries that God has hidden
for Himself and which He has reserved for us only to know sometime in the future
or perhaps in Heaven itself! The Prophets who received many of these revelations
never even explained them, often because they didn't understand them either!
God's ways are above our ways, as high as the Heaven's above the Earth!--Isa.55:9.
So we're not expected to understand everything God does and has and knows! We're
just simple little finite men and we have pretty small minds and we can't possibly
comprehend all of the wonders and mysteries of God and the future!
So you must understand, of course, that much
of what we have passed on to you has been our personal opinion or personal interpretations
of our personal revelations, and our own theories and logic and reason, which
we consider within the reason and wisdom of the Lord and we ourselves are convinced
of and believe. I certainly haven't got all the answers, but thank the Lord,
little by little we have received a little more light on some of these things.
The sun doesn't just pop out in the morning, boom, like that, all of a sudden!
First there's a long period of dawn, and it begins to get a little lighter and
a little lighter and a little lighter, and finally the sun itself begins to
show a little bit. But it doesn't jump right up into the noon sky!
God seems to be fond of doing things slowly
and thoroughly, slow but sure, so that things won't be too sudden, and that's
the way He's revealed Bible Prophecy and interpretation to us. He keeps giving
us a little more light and a little more light as we go along, and it's a wise
man who is smarter tomorrow than he was yesterday. So I guess the Lord knows
we're not that smart, that our heads can't hold too much at once!
WHY THEORISE?
It's when you get bogged down in too many
of the details and too many specifics of Bible prophecy that you're bound to
make some mistakes, because it's often a little too mysterious and you can't
be too dogmatic.
Often when you spend so much time on all the little insignificant details, it
just seems to be a waste of time. But the point is, you need
to know these details, so that when the prophecies begin to happen, to come
to pass, you can say, "Ah, there, that's it for sure! Now we know!" I am the
first to admit that I don't know and fully understand all of the details, but
I throw out suggestions, guesses and theories that get you to think about it!
One of these days you may say, "Oh there, that's it, that's the answer! That's
what the Lord was talking about!"
It's almost like a scientist going through experiments in a laboratory. You
try everything, you try all the possibilities. You try it by the process of
elimination, this doesn't do it and that doesn't do it and something else doesn't
do it, until finally you've got it whittled down to when suddenly you hit it,
you recognise that's it! That's how you find out a lot of things when you're
working with Bible Prophecy, by the process of elimination, and finally by the
process of actual recognition of the fact.
But if you don't have the questions in mind, how are you going to find out the
answers? So I give you the questions about some of these things and events so
that even if we don't have the answers now, when it happens, you'll recognise
the answer! Savvy? And that's a lot of what the study of Bible Prophecy is.
You don't understand everything that's said, but why do you think God said it
when you don't even understand it? So that when it does happen you'll recognise,
"Oh, that's it! That's what He meant! That's what He was talking about!" See
how important it is to be interested in some of these details and questions
even if you don't know the answers yet?
Sometimes I even offer you options and alternatives other than my own opinion,
then I go back and say, "But I believe such and such." Do you know why I do
that?--Because I've heard so many Bible teachers teach dogmatically that "this
can only be this way", and never even mention the other possibilities or interpretations!
It's just like they teach Evolution in the public schools, they don't even mention
Creation, that there is another possible way. And I've heard many Bible Prophecy
teachers teach like that, teach only their own interpretation.
So I have tried to be fair and I have given you many various theories of prophetic
interpretation. I give all these different opinions so that you will be informed
and know about them and not be stuck on just one, the one that we believe, so
you will at least be aware of these other different opinions.
Sometimes I throw theories out like little bombs, just to wake you up and shake
you up with a minor explosion, and make you think and dig into the Word and
study, to see if these things be so!--Acts 17:11.--And this is good! Even if
you don't find the answers, you'll learn something! If I don't do anything but
arouse your curiosity, I've made you want to know, and that's half the battle
for any teacher! Amen? PTL!
I guess I like the shock treatment! I like to shock people, challenge them,
stir them up, arouse them, awaken them out of their lethargy, even cause them
to explode over something I've said, at least get them to do something!--Like
the time I dropped a bomb in a class by asking the old proverbial question,
"Where will you spend Eternity?--Heaven, or Hell?" And then, instead of giving
the usual prosaic, traditional, fundamental answer, I said, "I'm not going to
go to Heaven or to Hell, and I hope you aren't either!"--And then went on to
prove from the Bible that the place we're going to dwell with the Lord is His
Heavenly City that's going to come down from God, out of Heaven, to a New Earth,
and God's gonna come down and live with us, and us with Him!
But when I said, "I'm not going to Heaven", a new babe in my class leaped to
his feet and shouted, "you're not, Buddy, but I am!", and stomped out,
never even giving me a chance to say, "Heaven's going to come to me!" and let
me prove the point! I had lit the fuse by challenging his traditional churchy
beliefs and he couldn't take the shaking of his faith! He couldn't stand the
shock of a new doctrine!--It shattered his frame of reference, his cherished
traditions, and he tottered on the brink of the abyss of the chasm threatening
his so-called faith! It left too big a hole in his nice little preconceived
notions, and he hadn't enough truth to fill it, so he was terrified by the sight,
exploded and walked out! At least it made him do something!--He'd sat for years
in church without moving! It actually started him thinking!--So much so that
he later returned and apologised, and asked to know more!--How will you react
when your traditional concepts are challenged?!
